His memoir, My Pursuit of Beauty: A Cosmetic Chemist Reveals The Glitz, The Glam and The Batsh*t Crazy was released in January 2021 and a documentary about his life is in production.

He has also refined and developed cutting-edge technology, as well as FDA approved ingredients for over 300 brands for the private sector and retail companies including Chanel, Estee Lauder, MAC, Victoria Secret, Bath & Body Works, Gap/Banana Republic, Lorac, Proctor & Gamble, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Aveda.
Growing up in a religious Italian family in Vineland, New Jersey, Spinnato chafed against the strict family rules but loved his family deeply. By the age of 10 he knew he wanted to create his own line of beauty products. And at the age of 20 he headed west to pursue his dreams. Over the next 25 years Spinnato experienced a number of adventures – many of which ended up in his tell-all memoir, published by BookLogix.
To honor his late father and grandfather, both musicians, Spinnato established two annual college scholarships in 2015 for talented seniors at his former high school. He recently donated a well to “Wells of Life”, a provider of clean water wells in Uganda. A portion of the proceeds from Caviar & Diamond will be earmarked for the organization.
