As a philanthropist, in 2015, Simona founded The Maria Gruber Foundation, which was founded upon personal tragedy and the loss of her beloved mother to cancer. The mission of The Maria Gruber Foundation is to create educational tools designed to help parents, children, and loved ones affected by terminal illness. Parts of Perfect 12’s proceeds go towards her foundation to help families and their loved ones in their battle against terminal cancer.
Simona grew up in Vienna, Austria and Milan, Italy. It wasn’t long before modeling scouts took notice of her natural beauty, and at 8 years old Simona’s first national campaigns, Benetton and Lacoste, started a modeling career. As a result of her success a move to the U.S. at only 14 years of age followed. At 21 Simona was discovered by the late legendary star-maker Jay Bernstein, who was responsible for discovering beautiful blonde icons such as Farrah Fawcett, Suzanne Somers, Linda Evans, Heather Locklear, Mary Hart, Pamela Anderson, Drew Barrymore, etc.
